Dental Emergencies
At Smilescene we understand that when emergency situations arise our patients may be anxious and concerned.
Rest assured our dentists are highly skilled in providing emergency care sympathetically and professionally. Thereafter follow-up treatment can be arranged if necessary.
It is useful to know what constitutes a dental emergency:
Serious Pain
Should you suffer from serious dental pain it is important to seek qualified dental advice as this pain can signify a dental infection or other problem which will require prompt treatment.
Swelling
An apparent swelling affecting your mouth, face or neck should be examined promptly by your dentist. Often a swelling can be caused by an underlying dental infection and may be accompanied by other symptoms such as pain, redness, fever or a general feeling of being unwell.
Trauma
Should you be involved in an incident that causes an injury to your mouth or teeth it is important to obtain the opinion of your dentist as soon as possible.
Please note: the above information is not comprehensive and you should contact your practice immediately if you have any concerns.
